...Or locating Frankenstein's brain.
Phineas: It's over here! (Phineas & Ferb theme song)
So, I made a rule for myself a while back that I cannot listen to music the day of a test until I've taken it. At least, nothing with words or something that will get stuck in my head, which is pretty much anything that I like to listen to (I once had the Indiana Jones theme stuck in my head for about 3 days..). However, I started to wonder about my base level of music-being-stuck-in-my-head-ness... My brother Brian kept a random, short-lived side blog that he'd update daily, called "First Song In My Head Today". As you can guess, each entry was simply the first song that he had in his head... that day.. As long as the artist, & he had a running playlist on the side so that you, too, could hear what he was hearing. So, on January 5th, after a rather odd dream, I decided to keep record for the rest of January of the 1st songs in my head. I'm not interested in adding music to my blog (too much effort, not enough interest on my part), but I'll see what I can do to give you an idea of what I was hearing/thinking each morning...
 Thriller (Michael Jackson)
 Popcorn Popping (children's songbook)
Fun, Fun, Fun (the Beach Boys)
Another One Bites the Dust (Queen)
Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog (sadly, no longer on Hulu. But you should still look up Joss Whedon)
the Comedy Sportz (CSz) name song, with the "doo-run-run". I went through pretty much all of the guys in the trombone section, & I have no idea why. It just kept going, & I kept having to think of rhymes, which is fine enough when it's "Dan", "Brad", "Lars", "Jon", "Steven", "Andy", "Mike", "Matt", "Bryan", & "Ben", but then you get "Taylor" "Jared", "Lyman", "Ethan", "Sterling", "Jacob", "Topher", "Koda", "Jason", David", & "Luke", some of which are much harder to rhyme with than I wanted to get into...
 Still the One (Shania Twain)
I don't know what it's called, but all I remember was that it was a medley of various patriotic music (without being one in particular), & that day my roommate came home with a bunch of patriotic music for University Band. I thought it was eerie...
I Am the Greatest Man That Ever Lived (Weezer) & Friday Night(the Click Five)
 Pink Elephants (from Disney's Dumbo)
Big Girls Don't Cry (Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons)
 Let Me Go (Cake)
Groove Thing ( I think? it's in the pep band book)
Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing (again, pep band), & then Funky Town
 I Won't Say I'm In Love (Disney's Hercules)
 Run & Tell That (Hairspray)
Under My Thumb (the Rolling Stones)
the ants go marching... (from Kindergarten)
Take Me Out to the Ball Game (except jazzy, & sung by Bro Mac... yeah, that was a weird dream...)
 Makin' Whoopee (Ella Fitzgerald)
Hey, Baby! (the marching band version, & not the one by Bruce Channel/Margaret Cobb)
 Santeria (Sublime)
 D4-- Frankenstein (marching band music)
My Heavenly Father Loves Me (also known as "Whenever I hear the song of a bird", from the Children's Primary Songbook)
For the Beauty of the Earth (Mormon Tabernacle Choir)
 Edge of Seventeen (Stevie Nicks)
Consider the Lilies (Mormon Tabernacle Choir)
